Connecting at School and Home

Connecting at School:

You can use your Chromebook in most locations at THS, including the parking lots, Student Center, library, front entry, and cafeteria. If you have trouble connecting at home, you can use your Chromebook before school, after school, and lunch times to connect to work on homework or download what you need to work on at home. The THS library is open from 7:30 - 5:00 Monday through Thursday, and 7:30 - 4:30 on Fridays.

Google Drive Offline:

If Google Drive Offline is enabled, you will be able to work on a Google Doc, Sheet, Slide, or Drawing without being connected to the Internet. Watch the video on the left for step-by-step directions for using Google Drive Offline. BE SURE you start your document that you want to work on offline WHILE YOU ARE ONLINE. You won't be able to create a new document offline.

Setting Up Drive Offline:

  1. While online (for instance, when you are school), go to Google Drive.
  2. Select the Gear in the top left corner, then Settings.
  3. Next to Offline, check "Sync Docs, Sheets, Slides, & Drawing files to this computer so that you can edit offline.
